Weird Thai Street Food Tour in Thailand: Taste Testing Bizarre Foods

There is so much Thai street food in Thailand and Thailand is known for being one of the best places in the world for eating street food. In this video I take you on a tour of the bizarre street food at a food market in Thailand to find some things I have deliberately avoided, as well as a few I do like. This market is the Tuesday and Saturday Market in Krabi Town in Krabi Thailand, its Google Maps coordinates are: 8.085510, 98.904296. Open 3pm till 7pm every Tuesday and Saturday.

All of the dishes in this video are very common as Thai street food, but you will also many of find them at Thai restaurants. You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food has taken many influences from Chinese food so you will find many familiar flavours. Thai food markets and night markets are some of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you’ll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since April 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You’ll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

I was in Indonesia and come across the dragon fruit (Pitaya ) was lovely, is their many strange fruits where you are Daren ?

oakland002 says:

11:10 it's just like my wife trying to get me to try something bad tasting , while I usually try to give her something that taste good .

Dwayne Midson says:

Well you took one for the team Darren. Thank you!
I like chewing the meat off chicken necks, not much there but its tasty.
Ive had BBQ'd chicken hearts Greek style, i didn't mind them.
I have a question, where did you learn to speak Thai? Did you go to classes or just picked it up as you went?

Eh Mu Ra says:

The ice cream that your son got are the best ice cream in Thailand. I prefer street ice cream then store ice cream. I don't like any internal organ or head because of less meat in the head and internal organ are not my thing. love your video. trying different stuff each week.

Michael Testarossa says:

Your cameraman does great work.

FOREIGNER2B says:

valiantmar says:

beefonstick says:

I enjoy watching your wife talk shit and egging you on lol.

Jack Van Berg says:

Darren, you couldn't give the chicken intestines away. LOL Shame on you making Aon take two bites and while took one and tried to force it on Aon. At least Amanda was smart enough to bail out. I am glad you have Aon more involved in the videos. I think she gives a more honest reaction to the food and is not shy to say Yuck on some bad food. Great video and I give you credit for taking some hard chances on the food selection. Love you video's and your family. See you next week.

paul mccracken says:

Hi Darrenb3, good morning from Norwich…I don't think I'll be to eager to try some of these ones 😁
I'll give the feet and head a miss. Have a nice weekend 🍻

domjohnm says:

That was excellent. You looked slightly hesitant at times. Aorn crushed the foot. You tiptoed (pun intended).

taewachien says:

Thumbs up for you and the family…… but I don't like to see those type of things eaten. I like to see the more normal foods and scenery. Thanks

Linux Lewis V says:

i can eat feet…dont know about the head, but yes to chicken neck

Bill c says:

Goose intestine sell for $8/lb in US

Bill c says:

Chicken feet are full of collagen. good for your complexion.

Bill c says:

You are based out of Phuket, right? What worry me about eating street food in Thailand is the flies may have a taste of the food before I do. Americans have weak stomach when dealing with bacteria. I am ghostly afraid of emergency room in a foreign country.

Kjell Söderlund says:

Hmm for the first time.. I'm not hungry after looking at u vlog. 5555
But I must say, Aorn looked amazing in that dress. U are a lucky man and I just love u son, he is adorable.
U photege and editing is just so good, u capture e sry little good bit in the market and the Thai peoples lovly smiles.
Keep it coming.
Stay safe and take care

Arthur Guy says:

haha you won't eat chicken feet because of what they walk in but you'll eat chicken eggs oh the irony

Nicholas Lai says:

Brave man, Darren. Thanks for taking one for the team. I'll pass on this and stick with Vegemite and some bread.
